Sapne Mein Milti Hai (A Hindi Film Song)

 Man ! what a song ! just hear the beats. Make you feel like dancing ... truely a group song ... or a team song ... actually that movie is quite a serious movie ... it is based on "gang-war" ... most probably in Mumbai ... not exactly sure about the place though ... But this song does not have any of the mention of "gang-war" at all ... which makes it great to watch it in stand-alone mode ... Who has stolen the show here? ... definitely "Shefali Shah" ... who else? ... excellent performance as a common Indian woman ... let me call it "personification of maturity" ... she is "on her toes" all the time to handle the whole "marriage ceremony" ... she is working towards all the arrangements for the guests ... and at the same time does not shy away from entertaining them, by dancing with them ... full energy ... full enthusiasm ... Manoj Vajpeyi says to her, "you worked very hard at home, now its your time to go out and have some fun" ... he "literally" pushes her to go out, till the time she acts lovingly, "do you want a slap from me?" ... the relation of both Shefali Shah and Manoj Vajpeyi is so pure ... the ideal "brother-in-law" and "sister-in-law" relation, which everyone would love to cherish ! There are various kinds of people in the dancing group ... some are 'fond of" dancing ... some of them need to be "encouraged" to dance ... and some of them find "dancing" very awkward ... but anyways ... at the end, truely enjoyable performance by all of the group members !

Speaking Robot - Prototypes

Goal - 1 (Robot Instructs/Interacts with the Child): 

• Child comes across a red object. The child stops and babbles "mummy see". The robot interprets the babbling. The robot instructs the child (verbally) to "come forward". The child does so. And moves forward from the red object.
• Child comes across a red object. The child stops and babbles "mummy see". The robot interprets the babbling. The robot instructs the child (verbally) to "Push it aside". The child replies "Ok mummy". The child pushes the red object aside and moves forward.

Goal - 2 (Robot Instructs/Interacts with the Child): 

• Child's room is un-organized. Robot asks the child "organize the room". The child starts organizing. Robot is watching it on and off by visiting the room. The organizing is going fine until the 2nd visit (The robot keeps track of the organization changes). In its 3rd visit, robot observes that the child has kept a "snacks box" on top of his "ipad". The robot asks the child "keep the snacks box" on the his small "dining table". The child does so. The robot also instructs the child "Never keep food or water near or on your ipad". Child says "Ok mummy". Robot leaves. The room looks "organized" to the robot now.

Diwana Hai Dekho (A Hindi Film Song)

An "ideal introduction" process of today's guys and girls in itself. It is performed so well such that no one will feel awkward, or rather, they will feel comfortable interacting with each other, even after getting to know each other (about the past and future)

What else I liked?

• Karina Kapoor copying the style of Hritik Roshan with the sun-glasses stating "Is it so? I understand"
• Even the guys copying the style of Hritik Roshan with the sun-glasses stating "Is it so? we also understand"
• Karina Kapoor's show-off of her identity "Just go tell him who I am !"

Hritik Roshan has performed completely "sarcastically", since he is closed for a relationship with her. Since he is already  involved in his childhood love. His performance over "aakho mein doob jane ko hum bekraar baithe hain." is sooo sarcastic yet so playful ! It appears that he is stating  "Kareena, You are acting as if I am 'bekaraar' for you, but it is NOT the case. I am already involved in my childhood love". In my opinion, Hritik Roshan has done the right thing to inform the girl very early in the relationship, about his past. That will make her not feel betrayed. Needless to say: It's a very cool and very modern song. Excellent camera work, excellent direction !

Mitu

Me, going to my friends' homes to solve problems or to chat, and they used to come at my home as well ! But I never got inspired by anyone except my friend "Mitu". We met in 11th grade. Mitu and one of her friends "Anjana". (I will write about Anjana sometime later.) They both were from the same school, which is CBSE board school. CBSE board exams have the toughest syllabus when it comes to academics. And they both got a score of 98% in Maths. We all were new in the Junior College that time. I was happy to have such great friends around me. Mitu did not hesitate to help me or other students, even though we competed for the same exam ! She helped a lot to me in my 12th grade. When my Maths teacher left the school in the middle of the year. Mitu helped me by solving few of Maths exercises. The rest I did. But "destiny" played its part here. Even though Mitu helped me a lot, I got a little higher score than Mitu. Honestly, I could not enjoy my score. We both then went to pursue Engineering. Mitu was clear in her mind that she wants to go for Mechanical Engineering. Its her (or probably derived from her father) thought, that I like "concrete" things (which we can touch and feel) and NOT "abstract" things. I found that thought very powerful. However, I did not follow her exact thought. Since "Electronics" and "Computer Science" were newly introduced Engineering Branches that time, I thought I will go for "Electronics". (Since "Computer Science" may well be introduced and involved in all other branches). So eventually we all will get an exposure to it. So we both went in two different directions, in two different colleges. We rarely met. But I still believe, if Mitu being my batch-mate had not helped me in my 12th grade, it would have been difficult for me to pursue Engineering education. Today, I also think that me going for Mechanical could be good. I think, we should go for the CORE Engineering branches, which are Mechanical, Electrical, Civil. The other knowledge can be ramped up on, in a later stage in life. I used to visit Mitu's home few times. She had an eldest brother, then twin sisters (she was one amongst the twins) and then one youngest sister. Her parents followed a simple life. I found her family very close to my family in life-style. Mitu herself was a foodie. She liked her mother for her cooking and taking care of the children. And she also derives from her father's thinking. She was very worried when her father had a "By-Pass" in our Junior College. One of my favorite philosophical joke (humor) about Mitu to her sister, was about her "Sister's Glasses" at a very young age. Someone at my home asked Mitu, when she visited my home "Why your sister got glasses at this young age?" (probably, the concern was, is she watching a lot of TV?). Mitu's reply was "Probably its too late for her. She should have gotten the glasses early. Probably my sister thought the World always looks like THIS (blurred)". We laughed ! Mitu used to like my mother's Chivda and I used to like her mother's Chivda ! Any ways ... Great memories ! Should be cherished !

Keep the response "playful", "humorous", "direct", "simple" and as "honest" as possible (When it comes to the child's age, the response will be as simplified as possible, but understandable !)) Increase the complexity of the response with the age/knowledge/wisdom of the child. Develop futher conversation above and around the child's thoughts. Also, try to associate emotions like surprise, joy, sadness etc. with the response.

Physical Jobs and Digital Jobs

AI will take over digital jobs like lightening!

I think it should just be the opposite. If at all one wants to reduce the pain of physical efforts put by humankind today, we have to develop machines and tools with smart/AI capabilities to reduce the physical pain as soon as possible. For example, the pain involved in collecting and disposing the garbage, the pain of a man in getting into the man-hole, pain of cleaning the large water bodies like lakes, rivers, sea etc, pain of cleaning drainages. These jobs should be completely automated as soon as possible. The digital world may get simplified as a result of that and digital jobs may get created as a result of that! For example, debugging and testing of the above mentioned machines can be automated. Writing code for testing and debugging the machines, can be an automated process. Simulating the test scenarios for the above mentioned machines (for example, simulating cleaning the rivers, seas, drainages) etc needs to be automated. All these automations will generate jobs. I wonder how are we going to simulate the garbage collection process and then test it in reality!

Worship and Respect

 As we all know Buddha is a man (we may call him a spiritual genius). He should be "respected" and NOT "worshipped" for his thoughts". "Worship" is "blind", while "respect" requires the mind to be "open" for new thoughts. "worship" is "stalled", while "respect" is "progressive". Buddha should be thought of as a "Guru" OR rather, humanity will benefit more, if it treats Buddha as a "Guru". In India we say God cannot be present "everywhere" with every human being, that is why he has created "Guru" for knowledge and "woman" for care. Regarding the "form of Buddha", it might be as simple as the Japanese Sculptors have imagined him in the form of Japanese man. The Indian Sculptors have imagined him as an Indian man.  I do not think the statues/forms reflect our "Ego". It's "how you look at the statue", will reflect the Ego. If we see "God" in the statue, we will worship it and be "closed" about further improvements. If we see "Guru" in the statue, we will respect it and be "open" about improvements. Being "closed", will be seen as Ego, and being "open" will be seen as adaptable and progressive! It is also believed that Hinduism supports "form-less" version of God. Then why some deities have forms? Actually, Hinduism supports both "form" and "no-form" of God. I think mankind will progress more if they believe the "no-form" version of God.

The way I see Education

Your family members are heading in the right direction. There has to be large community to bring the kids up. Not only the deaf community but also hearing community. I think it would be better if each of your family members choose a different topic to communicate to him. It would be just like circulating "vast information" around him in the way he understands. The topics can be related to education as well as entertainment. When it comes to education, he can get started with basic maths, practical usages of science concepts and the basic grammer (most probably English). It will be a great idea to get him started with technical games (which basically means getting an exposure to technology). He can get started on assembling and dismantling objects, He can also play video games for a limited time. And I think he is already getting trained on sports by his father. When it comes to entertainment or arts, he can go for painting, pottery, craft (paper/cardboard), carpentry (he is still young for this, but he can definitely watch it), make small animations. Make sure, you use a lot of images, graphics, drawings to explain him. You might have to use images, drawings and graphics to explain the concepts of maths to him.

मराठी माणूस

 तुम्ही म्हणता ते अगदी बरोबर आहे. आपल्याकडे संहिता चांगल्या आहेत. म्हणजे आपल्याकडे कल्पना आणि मूल्यं चांगली आहेत. मराठी माणसाला मराठी आणि हिंदी तर येतच पण त्याबरोबर हेही सत्य आहे की बहुतांशी शहरी मराठी माणसाला ईंग्लिश पण येतं किंवा कमीतकमी समजतं तरी. मराठी सिनेमा हिंदी मध्ये डब करुन उत्तर भारतात मार्केट करता येईल आणि ईंग्लिश मध्ये डब करून दक्षिण भारतात मार्केट करता येईल. मराठी माणसाला पूर्ण भारत खुला आहे. मराठी माणसाचं कौतुक करावं तितकं कमी आहे की त्यांनी अजूनही आपल्या परंपरा आणि मुल्यांना सांभाळून ठेवलं आहे आणि तरी त्याने आधुनिक समाजातला बदलही अंगिकारला आहे. दक्षिण भारत अतिशय जुनी मुल्ये अजूनही जोपासतो (दक्षिण भारतीय Loyal नाहीत, ते Stubborn आहेत. भारतीय नेत्यांनी कितीतरी प्रयत्न केले की त्यांनी हिंदी शिकावे, नेते हे म्हणत नाहीत कि तुम्ही उर्दु शिका. पण ते नाही शिकत. ते ईंग्लिश शिकतात, पण हिंदी नाही शिकत. मला वाटतं कि त्यांना हिंदी आणि उर्दुतला फरक अजून कळत नाही.) आणि उत्तर भारत सगळी भारतीय मूल्ये धाब्यावर बसवतो. मराठी माणूस आपल्या तार्किक बुद्धीने दक्षिण भारतात आणि उत्तर भारतात एक सुवर्ण मध्य साधतो.  मराठी माणूस अतिशय समजूतदार आणि हुशार आहे. त्याला फक्त कुणीतरी चांगलं समजावून सांगण्याची गरज आहे. मराठी माणूस आडमुठा नाही, ही फार चांगली गोष्ट आहे. माझ्या मते मराठी माणूस पैशापेक्षा परंपरा, मूल्य आणि बहुश्र्रुततेला जास्त महत्व देतो आणि ते चांगले आहे. पैसा ही मराठी माणसाने दुय्यम गोष्ट मानली. म्हणून मला वाटते पैसाही त्याच्याकडे आकर्षित झाला नाही. आपण ज्या गोष्टी मध्ये invest करतो तीच गोष्ट आपल्याला मिळते. मला नाही वाटत मराठी माणूस पिक्चर चं budget बघून तिकीट काढतो.  त्याला चांगले आणि वाईट याची चांगली पारख आहे. थोड्या फार प्रमाणात जे मराठी माणसाला लागू पडतं तेच बंगाली माणसालाही लागू पडतं.

Dil Nahi Chahta Hai

Regarding the "crook" scene in Dil Chahta Hai. A "white" girl is shown as a crook. I will NOT take most of the Hindi films very seriously. We just watch them for entertainment, unless it is from a great director. We have to be really choosy in watching Hindi movies and its songs. However, if we want to take my serious opinion about the "white girl or the white world", Indians have been literally "brain-washed" to believe that its the "British (the white world)" who has caused major harm to India by stealing its wealth including "Kohinoor". The "Islamic harm" to India is kept a TOP SECRET. I have no personal grudges against Islam, However till date, major Islamic contribution can be considered in the Art World. No one ever talks about the "British Contribution" to India. All our initial "roads", "bridges", "tunnels", "railways", "electricity", "sewages", "drainages", "concrete buildings" are "infrastructural contributions" from British to India. It is a major contribution to "Science and Technology" sector. We also seek for doctors who are in the field of medicine and also the law. We received it from the British and we have improvised on it. My personal opinion is, we can contribute many more Kohinoors to British for their contribution in Science and Technology sector in India. However, Indian population is/was so "uneducated" that it started believing the "Cinema and Movies" as "reality". "Cinema and Movies" could make them forget all the worries. Until the Software Exports began in India, the whole world must be knowing India as a "poor country" who can not grow sufficient food for itself. We Indians have handled our Independence process really chaotically. Indians turned really "secretive" or "non-transparent" to give valid inputs for partition and consequent "independence", but I think we see ourselves as "reserved" or "stand-offish" people for no real qualifications for being "stand-offish". My guess about Partition and Independence is, Indians went into "criticism" mode, rather than giving a "direction" to the British. Whatever British proposed, we criticized. We did not believe in giving them right inputs, that the partition may go "this way" and that might give correct results. And you will see that its still the same. We just "criticize" the efforts, we do not think in the direction of "improving" the efforts. Till date, the educated population of India looks forward to "white countries" for their growth in Science and Technology.  The major technology sectors of India, "Railways", "Space" and "Missile", "Atomic" sectors are under Government control. The entry criteria for these sectors are of high standards, excluding the "reservations".
